Here are the latest news about the backgrounds appearing too small:
The good news first. I fixed all the background codes, so they should work just fine. (but if there is still problems with any codes, please leave a comment and I will fix the problem).
And then the bad news. You have to replace your existing background code with a new fixed one of your own. You have to find the HTML/Java Script gadget where you have the background code and remove the old code and then add the new fixed code.

Ok I have tried to do what you suggested. Blogger will not allow me to delete my html or allow me to post a new code from your site. I do not know what else to do.

Got to "design" > look for that the HTML/Java Script gadget where you have the old background code, remove that code and paste the new code there.
You don't have to do anything to your html code and you should not post the code either.
I tried the suggestion with the new numbers and nothing changed, but where you logo was at the top is now an "X." Would love for you to stop by and give me a hand! Thank you so much!!

Do you know that your corrected 3-column backgrounds work with Blogger's Picture Window template? When yours had shrunk, I tried some from another source that worked with Minima and Picture Window. I just tested the Bunny & Snowman I had used before (had 2 col now 3 col) and it worked with Picture Window. Then I tried the new one, and that did, too. Thanks for rewriting the codes...I faced this problem only from yesterday. I love the water babies background and get a lot of praise for that. Though your works are for Minima, I tweaked them a little the first round especially the header to fit the picture window template...your 2 column new code just fits seamlessly now. :)

Picasa on muuttanut kuvien lautautumis systeemiä. Jos haluat palauttaa saman sivupohjan takaisin oikeaan kokoon, niin sun on vaihdettava se vanha koodi uuteen korjattuun.
Valitettavasti sun pitää itse vaihtaa koodi sinne blogille. Mutta olen korjannut kaikki sivupohjakoodit, joten poista se vanha koodi sieltä gadgetista ja laita sen tilalle korjattu koodi.

I too had this problem. My blog was fine until last weekend. So today i copied and pasted the new code and so far it seems OK.
I will observe further though, just in case it happens again.
However, before i fixed the problem, my blog looked fine on internet explorer but not on firefox. i wonder why.

I just wanted to let you know that the royal template still does not work with the 2 column minima.

Hi, I have problem changing my background with the new blogger version. I tried to hit the button Edit HTML but a message came out:
Directly editing HTML may affect the way some features work and is only recommended for advanced users. Editing template HTML may unpredictably affect other Blogger features. We recommend using the Template Designer first, where you can Add CSS under the Advanced section.
I don't what to do from there.

You don´t have to make any changed to your blogs HTML-code. The background code is in a HTLM-Java Script gadget.
Find that gadget, looks like it´s in the top of your gadgets, remove the old code, and replace it with the new fixed code, and by the way, move the gadget in the bottom of the side bar, then the logo won´t be disturbing.

Hi again..sorry to bug you! I removed the old html and tried replacing with the new code and it only shows the fixed template for about 2 seconds and then reverts back to the shrunken one. Now I have no old html to remove..in fact, when I removed it the first time and checked the blog, it was still showing the shrunken one. I don't know what to do!! Help! bertie

the exact thing happens for me... I cannot replace the background even when I completely delete the HTML.Javascript gadget > save > exit > view blog > still there.
Hi. Just to let you know this worked on my downstairs computer. I had to buy some more memory for my old upstairs computer and this worked fine. I really needed to get more memory because I couldn't update firefox and I believe that made the problem worse.
I just wanted to thank you again for all these wonderful backgrounds and for all your help.
