If you want to add a link to your comment, it's really good to make it easy to use. If you first have to copy the link and then paste the address, it's way too complicated, so better learn this very simple, but practical trick.
So only thing you need, is this simple code:
<a href="link">text to click on</a>Here is a sample, I will make a comment to this post and will add this link below there, so you see how it looks, click the link on my comment and you should get back to this post:

Ok...now I'm even more confused. Could you please check it out for me? In the last effort, I clicked on the words my travel blog which is a link and got the message that page doesn't exist. However, in that message, travelingsuitcase was there as a link, clicked on it and it did go to my page; but why the middle page showing an error?

I must be really stupid, b/c what I'm trying to do is add a link to my post and the link is within my post for example the word "Here" which would direct the person reading my post to another area of my blog by clicking on the word "Here". When I tried it your way it put the whole web site listing in my posted area as you can see in my blog, whereas I want to able to only click on the word "Here" to get to that area within my blog. But what you mean, is even easier. You write any word, and then highlight it, and then push the link button, there above the text where you write the posts. There opens the little box, where you can add the link. Then the link address is not seen, only the word you highlighted.
